Description

It is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria, such as sinus infections, throat infections, Lyme disease, and gonorrhea.

Side Effects

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, strange taste in the mouth, or stomach pain may occur.

When not to use

It is contraindicated in patients with cephalosporin hypersensitivity or cephamycin hypersensitivity. Cefuroxime should be used cautiously in patients with hypersensitivity to penicillin.
