Description
It is used to treat Parkinson’s disease. It’s also used to treat drug-induced movement problems, and to prevent and treat infection with influenza (flu) A virus.

When not to use
It is contraindicated in patients with known amantadine hypersensitivity, rimantadine hypersensitivity, or hypersensitivity to any agent in the adamantine class.
