What is sphygmomanometer?

The sphygmomanometer is a device used to measure blood pressure. This set combines the accurate traditional mercurial instrument with mobility, durability and added reliability. Also includes Graduated glass tube, Nylon Standard Size Cuff and Latex Bladder.

Mercury Scale:

Encased in a simple, sleek, aluminum case, the mercurial manometer is easy-to-read. An internal locking device in the mercury reservoir prevents mercury spillage during transport, storage, or maintenance.

How to use this devise?

• All parts should be fastened and properly connected.
• The cuff should be at the same height as the heart. Rough estimate is 2-3cm above the elbow.
• Screw valve clockwise to shut air release valve.
• Place the stethoscope into ears.
• Place the chest piece of the stethoscope underneath the cuff.
• Screw valve counter-clockwise to release valve slowly. First audible pulse reading is the systolic pressure and last audible pulse is diastolic pressure.

General Cleaning & Care:

Clean all parts of device after every use with cotton cloth. Do not let any liquid enter the inside of sphygmomanometer.
