When not to use

Hypersensitivity to the drug. Presence of hematopoietic disorders such as neutropenia andthrombocytopenia or a past history of either TTP oraplastic anemia.

Pregnancy

This drug is known to cause issues during pregnancy, therefore please do not take this drug if you are pregnant.

Drugs to avoid

Do not take isotretinoin if you are taking tetracycline antibiotics, such as doxycycline (Vibramycin) or demeclocycline (Declomycin, Declostatin, Ledermycin) or vitamin A. Avoid taking isotretinoin if you’re taking: Acitretin (Soriatane, Neotigason)
